Latching relays are used for switching on/off the light (or other electric appliances) from any of freely selectable points by means of parallel-connected triggering push-buttons linked with the switch by means of two-conductor wire. Pressing any triggering push-button turns the light on and pressing the same or any other push-button second time turns the light off. Triggering push-buttons work currentlessly.
